No one knows exactly what salary evangelist Benny Hinn pays himself annually from his ministry’s funds, but a decade ago he stated it was more than $500,000.

Since then sources say Hinn has apparently quadrupled his take to somewhere around $2 million per annum.

bennyhinn_narrowweb__300×3870.jpgEstimates have placed the annual gross contributions made to Benny Hinn’s ministry at about $200 million.

How is it that this oily preacher manages to haul in so much cash?

Has everyone forgotten the televangelist scandals of the 1980s, which landed PTL Club founder Jim Bakker in prison and his wife Tammy Faye in divorce court?

Now incredibly even Bakker is back in business, plying his trade again by using virtually the same pitch.

Perhaps given such a startling reversal, it’s not hard to understand the continuing success of Benny Hinn, the peripatetic “prophet,” who hops around on a Gulfstream jet, stays overnight in presidential hotel suites and maintains a fleet of luxury cars.

After all, Hinn’s multi-million dollar so-called California “parsonage” has parking for ten.

Maybe a borrowed donkey and night sleeping under the stars was good enough for Jesus, but doesn’t this 21st Century “Man of God” deserve more consideration?

Meanwhile, Iowa senator and Baptist Charles Grassley doen’t seem much impressed by Hinn’s supposed spiritual authority. Grassley is currently investigating the minister’s finances and wants some detailed disclosure.

But Pastor Benny apparently thinks that opening up his books may be “sinful” or even “satanic.”

The evangelist envoked the Constitutional doctrine of church and state, hoping to hide behind what has been called the “wall of separation,” for his salvation.

But does making money in the “name of God,” mean special treatment when it comes to the tax code?

In a recent visit to Brisbane Pastor Benny drew audiences in the thousands. One night Hinn cooked up quite a convenient revelation. “This is a prophecy,” he said. “You are about to see the biggest transfer of wealth in the history of the world. You are going to see prosperity like you never dreamed of. Money is being transferred from sinners to the righteous.”

“Are you righteous?” Hinn asked the crowd.

Of course those assembled answered in the affirmative, anxious to get their slice of the heavenly kingdom.

But to get what they want from God, according to Benny, believers first need to put up some earnest money.

He explained, “The Jews were taught by God how to give. When they brought their gifts to the Lord, it was only the best…God deserves the best. You give God the best and you’ll get the best from him. Are you here for God’s blessing? What are you going to give the Lord tonight?”

By “the Lord,” what Hinn really means for practical purposes, is himself.

So “sowing the seed” with “God,” literally means giving your money to Benny Hinn.

According to the Sydney Morning Herald Hinn hauled in about $800,000, through just three performances.

Benny Hinn would make the fictional “Elmer Gantry” blush.

After all, in the end Gantry appears to have a conscience, but Benny Hinn does not.

Preying upon people that are sick and suffering by telling them that they must pay to receive God’s blessings, sounds more like blackmail than preaching the Gospel.

CultNews receives regular emails from Benny Hinn supporters, who say that criticiszing him is tantamount to “coming against God.”

This self-proclaimed prophet is supposedly an “annointed” hero, and not a huckster.

CultNews has also been told that it’s a plan of the “devil,” to raise questions about Benny Hinn, which could incur God’s holy wrath.

But Jesus answered questions and advised his followers to “love” their “enemies.”

And critically evaluating leaders is certainly well-within the parameters of the New Testament. In Galatians Paul quite harshly criticized and then condemned corrupt leaders.

And as recorded in Acts Peter didn’t automatically rebuke Paul’s critique of his teachings. Instead, Peter slept on it and subsequently realized that Paul was right.

So should Pastor Benny receive any more consideration than Jesus or the apostles?

Charles Grassley certainly doesn’t seem to think so. And it probably didn’t take a “prophecy” to prompt the Iowa senator’s concern about Pastor Hinn’s finances.

Amen. Truth can hold up to scrutiny.

Unfortunately, there is a lot of us stupid “sheeple” (people); sad to say used to be one. It’s amazing how people tithe, attend, throw; give money at all these televangelist without researching a matter. What they own, worth, WHO FOUNDED THEM AND FUNDED THEIR BEGINNING. God, Jesus, Holy Spirit doesn’t get any money. It’s NOT just Mr. B. Hinn, but all Demonations (not mis-spelled), who founded Foursquare, Assassins of their god (AoG’s), Presbyterian, Calvary Chapel, etc., How much of their money goes to the Fatherless, Widow, Orphan, Poor, Homeless, Single Parents and their children etc., False Churches, False Pastor’s (wolves, hirelings, snake oil salesmen) become Real Estate Owners and a Business under the guise of 501c3 (non-profit status). In this day and age you don’t need to give them money for them to be kept in their lifestyle and rob your families and the wage earner (husband/wife) of their time and money. It’s so sad that we are so brainwashed and “exploiting the need to belong”. “Don’t Call Me Brother by Austin Miles, Pagan Christianity (green cover) by Frank Viola, People in Glass Houses by Tanya Levin, Ungodly Fear by Stephen Parsons, The Fleecing of Christianity by Jackie Alnor, Thieves by Trey Smith, Losing My Religion by William Lobdell (excellent write); Snakes in Suits by”; just a drop in the bucket of great reads. Battle Hymn by John Scura/Dane Phillips list a number of corrupt church leaderships=NOT enough! Dick Sutphen has a “Christian Brainwashing” article that’s new agy but so true. Terrible to wake up to realize you lived your life through and for someone else and they’re still teaching their lies to be kept in their lifestyles; no fear of the Lord (Proverbs 9:10). Worse, no fear of where they’re spending Eternity; no do over’s regarding death=”Is Death, the End; the Reality of Hell” by Arthur Katz (Matthew 7:13-14). How much is the Bible going forth, true worship, prayer instead of preying on the people, holiness, righteousness, humility is modeled rather than the used religion salesmen selling his dead religion; so many dead men walking; worse we are NOT judging fruit. P.S. Go to David Wilkerson’s website and he has Mr. B. Hinn and Paul Crouch cursing people that come up against THEIR ministry (God has no hand in it, man made, man built etc.,Galatians would talk about “who has bewitched you…”). So called Christians think they have the right to pray for people to die and or curse them with cancer is more like Warlock/Witch behavior. Bible writes about wolves, false teachers etc., Also, Leonard Ravenhill in “Why Revival Tarries-1959; America is Too Young to Die-1979, Sodom Had No Bible, Tried and Transfigured” along with all his other written works and “Apostolic Foundations, Prophetic Call; Reality, the Hope of Glory, True Fellowship, Anatomy of Deception by Arthur Katz (Art, Aaron, Arthur Aaron) both Authors excellent writes how current Church/Leadership has compromised and sold out to money, power, greed, etc., David Wilkerson also did a message addressing the “assemblies of god, sadly unheeded” posted under: truediscernment site.

Additional Note: Benny Hinn got raided per the news (other articles as well):

B.H. lifestyle of self serving vs. what does he do with ALL the money people shouldn’t have given in the first place without researching where the $ is going to go and who going to help? Where does God get any money? It becomes a self-serving business!

Need: Bumper Sticker: If, you give $ to B. Hinn, TBN (Crouches), CBN, (so many Wolves, Charlatans, Snake Oil Salesmen/women selling THEIR dead Gospel); you are a brainwashed idiot that CANNOT, WILL NOT AND CHOOSE NOT TO THINK FOR YOURSELF. Worse, that their Donors think they have the right to pray for people to die and or curse; again, behaving like Warlocks and Witches rather than Christian (NO Christlikeness here). To give your hard earned money to these Hirelings without researching what own, worth and again what do with, is absolutely amazing; robbing your Family/Spouse. All these false ministries, “fake love, fake preacher’s, fake churches” could go away and WHAT WOULD BE THERE TO MISS? Absolutely nothing but your brains, time and money sucked out! False church and false pastor’s are BIG business=self serving. “Breaking Christian Curses” by Dennis Cramer.

P.S. When’s the last time you/we/I researched definition of a Cult and notice with that is Sociopath definition! When you look at this Website’s A-Z of articles on cult ministries and do the amazing reads of how these people are still in BUSINESS after being pathological liar’s with definition of a cult also comes sociopath; sound’s like many of our false pastor’s/leaders who have no fear of the Lord therefore no wisdom (Proverbs 9:10). Over the years noticed celebrating and tithing to liars and why is that? “Exploiting the Need to Belong by Steven Parsons”. When you look at “Losing My Religion” by William Lobdell and so many great writes=amazing ALL these false Ministries; Regimes, Movements are still in Business since again, God, Jesus, Holy Spirit does NOT get any money but the prostituting and the whoring of their name and who they are. We’re not reading our Bibles and also, worshipping men/women (false ministries) over God, Jesus, Holy Spirit and so sad we need a false type of King Saul/Saul=Paul.

  7. bobbie schwartz @ 2017-05-23 13:32

THIS APPLIES TO ALL MINISTRIES; what men/women are saying. Write out what your Pastor is saying, write out what your speaker is saying when you go to a Conference or speaking engagement. What is being said? How much is God, Jesus, Holy Spirit talked about vs. me, myself and I? How much is Bible (WORD) going forth like rivers of living water and how much is Holiness, Righteousness, REPENTANCE, PRAYER exemplified, modeled vs. how much time talking about themselves and their god of money and ALL about them? Example: Friend invited me to Greg Laurie’s church in Riverside, CA and message was dead rhetoric, inane, inept and about the rapture cult lie and people were content to have an image on the screen and throw money into the coffers; amazing all the stupid “sheeple”; the need to be entertained and “exploiting the need to belong” by Stephen Parsons. Women told me this, attended church for 12-14 years and NEVER met any of the leadership and or knew who they were and yet tithed and attended=why? Friends and I have talked about this for years, why would you raise your family in a church (really movement) that doesn’t care whether you live and or die and or have food on the table doesn’t care if the people are healthy in the church but just wants to brag about you as a # and wants your money to be KEPT in THEIR lifestyle? Look at the foundations (early years of all these leaders and who taught them to be the used car salesmen selling their dead religion/wares? Where grew up, sin was swept under the carpet and NOTHING but guilt, condemnation, criticism, belittling. I’m asking parents that raised their children in this movement, WHAT was the attraction since a lot of death happened, miscarriages. When you look up definition of a Cult along with that definition comes Sociopath and were content to tithe, attend and celebrate liars who DON’T bring out the best in us and or exemplify us to the Father Heart of God=ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. FIND a Pastor that is so fasted and prayed up that NO ONE can be in sin=”Holiness, Truth and the Presence of God” (he will be dripping Glory and Intercession=RARE; rather than PREYING on the people. Pastor that brings and gives life rather than Death. German Man that had NEVER been to America, God showed him (read the prophetic bulletin) saw rats coming out of so many false pastors; read an article comparing sharks to Pastor’s also=so sad and so true. We are NOT jugding it the Bible-Word (talks about false, hirelings, wolves, charlatan, snake oil salesmen vs. true)! Look at your calendar does your church have something going every night of the week or 4-5 times where you have NO time for yourself, relationship with God (not a pastor and his agenda) and or your family.

  8. BOS (Always Research A Matter) @ 2017-05-28 19:42

Example and MANY people have gone through this: Young Woman’s Father asked her when dying NOT to give his hard earned $ to Ministry; daughter didn’t listen she gave her $29,000 inheritance to Mike Murdock and when she couldn’t make her bills, she called up to ask for help and she did NOT get it. Know of a lot of stupid women that also did that with Mr. B. Hinn; those guys are laughing all the way to the bank and you haven’t even researched what they owned, worth and doing with the money; stupid sheeple just tithe, attend and throw money at=how very sad. Contact Trinity Foundation, Dallas, TX, Pete Evans/Ole Anthony (also, ask them for other groups that are investigating) at (214) 827-2625 look at their trinityfi.org website and do the reads. HOW MANY MINISTRIES as you’re losing your Job/House has helped you and do they care if you have food on the table and or helps so WHY ARE YOU PAYING THEM to live the lifestyle. Again, God, Jesus and Holy Spirit doesn’t get a dime but the prostituting and the whoring of their name.

Another attribute NOT modeled in the majority of our false leadership is Humility. When you Google definition of a cult eventually the research will lead to Sociopath behavior also. Google: Is Assemblies of God a cult (apply to any one/business; like scandale, controversial articles, people’s negative feedback, abused by). Yet, your not learning about: “Beautiful Side of Evil Joanne Michaelsen, Pigs in the Parlor by Frank/Ida Mae Hammond, Strong Man’s His Name, What’s His Game-Jerry Carol Robeson, Hidden Dangers of the Rainbow by Constance Cumbey, Tormented by Ken/Nancy Curtis, Blessing and Cursing you Choose by Derek Prince (he has some great writes and exposed Legalism well) as they are all excellent teachers. So many husbands told me their wives were giving their money to B. Hinn/TBN etc., John Paul Jackson, Noel Alexander, Tim Davis would teach CD/tape teachings would cover that well along with Three Battlegrounds by Francis Frangipane (must read by ALL). WHY DO WE NEED TO REPLACE GOD, JESUS, HOLY SPIRIT with Mr. B. Hinn, TBN, God T.V., or anyone you/me/I are making an idol out of false?

P.S. I think Charles Grassley should have been investigated if he got kicks backs, palms greased from Mr. B. Hinn because nothing changed all these false, hirelings, wolves taking money and living lavish lifestyle (ask Trinity Foundation about). If, the church/ministries aren’t doing Charity, Social, Humanity and Education then they’re a Business.

  9. I don’t have a whole lot to say about this except that God has reserved a special place for men like this and that at the end, if he doesn’t repent, Hinn will be laughing at himself it will be so bad.

“There were also false prophets among the people, even as there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Lord who bought them, and bring on themselves swift destruction. And many will follow their destructive ways, because of whom the way of truth will be blasphemed. By covetousness they will exploit you with deceptive words; for a long time their judgment has not been idle, and their destruction does not slumber” (2Pet. 2:1-3).
